Dr. Stephen Happel is a noted commentator on the U.S. economy, earning his B.A. in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Missouri. He obtained his M.A. from Duke University and a Ph.D. in Economics. Since 1975, Dr. Happel has been a Professor of Economics at Arizona State University, also serving as the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Studies at the W.P. Carey School of Business. A nationally recognized speaker, Dr. Happel has delivered insightful presentations on the economy to banks, credit unions, and civic groups.

He has written publications in the Wall Street Journal, the Cato Journal, the Christian Science Monitor, and the Arizona Republic.
