DESCRIPTION:The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) will implement new and adjustedAquifer Water Quality Standards (AWQS) and an associated implementation rule. These updates help protect Arizona’s groundwater and align regulatory requirements with current science and best practices.\nWe invite you to join an upcoming webinar to learn about the rule and what it means for your permit.\nThe webinar will cover:\n\nBaseline Monitoring requirements\n\nIndividual APP Permit Amendment Schedule and phases\n\nAssociated Notices of Final Rulemaking (NFRM)\n\nWhat’s New\nThese updates include seven new or adjusted AWQSs for the following parameters: arsenic\, bromate\, chlorite\, microbiological contaminants\, haloacetic acids\, total trihalomethanes\, and uranium. The new or adjusted standards and an implementation rule will take effect on August 4\, 2025.
