Cool off this Independence Day at Big Buckle Roofing LLC Safford Pool Day, presented by Gila Valley Mortgage and hosted by the City of Safford. The pool will be open free of charge from 1 to 5 p.m., giving families a chance to beat the summer heat and enjoy an afternoon of fun in the water. The first 200 children in attendance will receive complimentary hot dogs and chips while supplies last. Bring the family and make a splash as part of the Gila Valley 250 Independence Day celebration. The JustServe Heart of Service Awards Presentation will recognize individuals and organizations whose volunteer service has strengthened communities throughout Graham County. The ceremony will begin at 6:30 p.m. on the stage at the new soccer fields at Graham County Fairgrounds and will honor those who exemplify the spirit of selfless service. The presentation will take place prior to the evening's live music and fireworks, making it a meaningful part of the Gila Valley 250 Celebration Day.
