Through public health nursing, environmental health services, disease prevention, health education, immunizations, family planning, vital records, food safety inspections, environmental health permitting, and community health initiatives, the department serves individuals, families, businesses, and communities across the county. The Health Department also supports public health preparedness, health assessments, and programs designed to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent illness and injury. Through health education, nursing services, immunizations, vital records, food safety programs, environmental health inspections, and community wellness initiatives, the department works to protect public health and improve quality of life throughout the region.
