Cool off this Independence Day at Big Buckle Roofing LLC Safford Pool Day, presented by Gila Valley Mortgage and hosted by the City of Safford. The pool will be open free of charge from 1 to 5 p.m., giving families a chance to beat the summer heat and enjoy an afternoon of fun in the water. The first 200 children in attendance will receive complimentary hot dogs and chips while supplies last. Bring the family and make a splash as part of the Gila Valley 250 Independence Day celebration. Building on several years of tradition, KeyHole Properties and the Eastern Arizona Historical Society and Museum will offer a patriotic community breakfast featuring pancakes, eggs, and bacon, along with a brief patriotic program hosted by the Town of Pima. The free event is expected to serve approximately 1,000 people, with elected officials from across the Gila Valley helping serve breakfast. Donations will be accepted.
