The Sons of the American Legion, American Legion Swift-Murphy Post 32, and American Legion Post 95 are teaming up for a special Independence Day celebration. They will host the annual Moe Villalba Sr. Fishing Derby at the duck ponds at the Graham County Fairgrounds on July 4th from 6 to 11 a.m. The event is free for all children and will feature prizes in multiple age categories. Cool off this Independence Day at Big Buckle Roofing LLC Safford Pool Day, presented by Gila Valley Mortgage and hosted by the City of Safford. The pool will be open free of charge from 1 to 5 p.m., giving families a chance to beat the summer heat and enjoy an afternoon of fun in the water. Enjoy an evening of live music on the United Way Graham and Greenlee Counties Community Stage before the fireworks as the ZGF Band performs a mix of dance music, party favorites, and crowd-pleasing hits. Presented by Energy Solutions and hosted by Graham County, this free concert will keep the energy high and the celebration going as families and friends gather for the Freeport-McMoRan Fireworks.
